Cbank says Moscow Exchange not to open stock trading on Wed
MOSCOW, Mar 2 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank has decided not to open the stock market on the Moscow Exchange on Wednesday, the regulator said in a statement.
“The bank has decided not to resume trading on March 2, 2022 on the Moscow Exchange in the Stock Market Section,” the statement read.
Redemption via addressed orders mode with settlement in rubles, the derivatives market section, except for currency pairs, commodities (precious metals) and mirror futures contracts on the original platforms in closing positions mode, as well as the standardized derivatives market (SPFI) section, will be open during the trading session on Wednesday.
The exchange’s operating mode on Thursday will be announced on the regulator’s website until 9.00 a.m. Moscow time the same day.
At the same time, SPB Exchange, the bourse that trades shares of foreign companies, decided to maintain limited trading on Wednesday, according to a statement on its website.
From 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Moscow time, two trading regimes will be available to the participants: negotiated deals with the settlement codes T0 and T1 and targeted repos with the central counteragent with the settlement codes T0T1.
From 10:00 a.m., the bourse will launch untargeted repos with the central counteragent and settlement codes T0T1. Exchange trading in international securities on the SPB Exchange in main trading mode will begin at 5 p.m. Moscow time.
